Mabuhay! My name is Vianca. I am a qualified and provisionally registered teacher. I was born in the Philippines and have been living in Aotearoa for the past 12 years. As a kaiako, I believe that children learn best when they receive learning that is filled with inclusivity, respect, and authenticity. I strive to be a kaiako that views tamariki as a whole and who are capable, competent, and have confidence in themselves. I look forward to working with you all at Youngworld.

Yixuan (Qualified Teacher)

Kia Ora Tamariki and Whānau, My name is Yixuan, and you can call me Yi (pronounced like the letter “E”). I’m excited to be joining Young World Childcare Centre in the under-2s room and to support our youngest tamariki as they explore, learn, and grow. I’m originally from eastern China, and Mandarin is my mother tongue. I live in Sandringham with my husband and our curious, energetic, happy, and chatty toddler son. I am a qualified teacher with a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (New Zealand), a BA in English Literature (China), and an MA in Film Studies (England). Before teaching, I spent eight years as an art director in the film industry. This creative background has shaped me into a versatile, organised, and imaginative educator. I enjoy weaving art, storytelling, music, movement, and photography into my teaching to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences. I have a deep love for working with the under-2s. Guided by RIE and Reggio Emilia philosophies, I dedicate myself to responsive, respectful, and relationship-based practice. I am a strong advocate for free movement, and supporting children’s language development is a passion of mine. I care deeply about healthy eating and early nutrition for our little ones. Guided by the Healthy Eating Guidelines for New Zealand Babies and Toddlers (0–2 years), I hold a food safety certificate and have practical training and work experience in a daycare kitchen. I am knowledgeable in introducing solids and supporting Baby-Led Weaning (BLW). Outside of work, I enjoy nature, family walks, cycling, and tennis. I look forward to getting to know each child and their whānau at Young World, and I am committed to doing my best to support their growth, curiosity, and joy during this foundational stage of life.

Magandang Buhay! My name is Tin hailing from the picturesque Philippines. I have dedicated over 4 years in teaching, spanning experiences in my homeland and in vibrant Singapore. With a perpetually youthful spirit, I embody a kid-at-heart essence. Known for my bubbly and warm demeanour, I find joy in engaging with children. I go beyond play, infusing learning in different activities ensuring each moment carries significance. My belief is that building an authentic connection with every child is the bedrock of effective teaching. I’m committed to teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming the lives of children, fostering an environment of growth and genuine learning.

Kia Ora Whanau, My name is Brandon and I hold a graduate diploma in early childhood education as a provisional registered teacher. I had two years of Early childhood education experience. I originate from China, and I am fluent in Mandarin as well as English. I look forward to working with those lovable kids to support their learning. I want to apply the Te Whariki curriculum to children’s learning. I would also like to witness how they develop holistically through their daily engagement. I am an amiable, caring, friendly, passionate, and gracious teacher, I will respect all the children and try my best to support them in learning. My name is Mahnijar Amin. I’m originally from Indonesia and I have been in New Zealand since 2008 and studied In New Zealand at Institute of technology and NZSE Computing level 3. I’m Mother of 2 children my oldest son is at high-school and my daughter is at Kindergarten. Firstly I’m interesting in cooking since I come to in New Zealand specially Asian foodie (Indonesian) and kiwi, Italian foods too. Secondly have been cook for my Indonesian community , help Indian Singapore family prepare Dinner, cooking for a small gathering and of course I cooking for my lovely family. Lastly I’m Interesting to interact with children and have helped children activities as parents supervisor at kindergarten. I am looking forward to working alongside our tamariki and cooking healthy and nutritious foods for them.
