Newsletter Issue 1 (4th Dec 2017)
Tena Koutou Katoa Young World Whanau,
Welcome to Young World Childcare.
We are so happy to have you all here with us. It has been a journey for us but we are looking forward to providing you, our families and tamariki with quality care and education.
We have had a busy first 2 weeks here at school and we are really enjoying getting to know our tamariki.
As we go from week to week we are becoming more settled as a centre and our tamariki are now more familiar with our daily routines.
The weather has changed and we are now heading towards our summer months.
We do apply sunblock to the children at various times of the day but we do also require that our child bring a hat if they wish to play outside.
“If they do not have a hat they will need to play inside for that day”.
As it is so warm now, we will have water play available for tamariki on a daily basis so could you please make sure they have some spare clothes that are named in your child’s bag for them to change into after they have finished their play.
We would like to welcome Aimee to our Young World Whanua as the teacher in our tamarki iti (under 2) room. She has settled in to her room so quickly and has already made amazing relationships with her tamariki.
Welcome also to Masrath who with be helping un in the centre with covering lunch breaks and non-contact time.
Although we have just begun our journey as a centre the year of 2017 is nearly over and the Christmas break is nearly upon us.
We would really appreciate if you could let us know if you were going to be away at this time.
Please contact us via email, text, or written communication in the centre.
We will provide a form for you to easily share your holiday times.
End of the year party: Friday 15th December 2017 1.30pm – 3pm .
More information coming soon.
